Charles Bolton
Charles Bolton is an educator, serves as a Director with the African American Scholars Project and community advocate from South Sacramento. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of the Pacific, he spent two years in AmeriCorps, fueling his passion for supporting underserved students. He later earned a master’s degree and teaching credential from Antioch University, becoming a recognized Master Teacher. Currently, Charles teaches Special Education for Sacramento City Unified School District and directs the African American Scholars Project. A proud father of two, he remains deeply committed to his childhood community.
Dr. Stacey Chimimba Ault
Dr. Stacey Chimimba Ault is a coach, speaker, and social entrepreneur dedicated to racial and gender justice. As Founder & CEO of the Race and Gender Equity Project, she advances Black women and youth through healing, education, and research. She has also founded Restful Leadership, an anti-racist, trauma-informed approach to workplace wellness. Dr. Ault, a former professor, holds a doctorate in International and Multicultural Education and has published extensively on Critical Race Theory and equity. A proud Malawian Brit, she resides in Sacramento, CA, focusing on community building and joyful leadership.
Debra Cummings
Debra Cummings has been a key figure in Del Paso Heights for over a decade, navigating resources for the Black Child Legacy Campaign. She co-leads the Healing the Hood Crisis Response team and is a leader on the SETA Community Action Board. Debra co-founded Community Mothers of 95838-15 and serves as President of Our Kids Community Breakfast Club, furthering her commitment to community advocacy and support.
Ryan McClinton
Ryan McClinton is a DEI Strategist and Public Health Advocate who works to create systemic change in African American communities. His leadership and community organizing efforts have led to significant criminal justice reforms and improvements in Black mental health services. Ryan is focused on advancing Black racial equity through collaboration and strategic leadership development, promoting a sustainable and healthy quality of life.
Timothy Poole
Timothy Poole, a Sacramento native, is the founder of Hooked on Fishing Not on Violence, a nonprofit that mentors inner-city youth through fishing and a radio personality on 97.5 Kdee with a show dedicated to our youth around gang prevention and leadership. His work has impacted over 1,000 children, providing them with mentorship and a sense of belonging through seasonal Fishing Derbies. Timothy’s commitment to social justice and cultural diversity continues to inspire leaders and youth in his community.
Ranita Harris
Ranita Harris is a passionate advocate with over a decade of experience in mental health, focusing on the Black community. She has been instrumental in the Black Child Legacy Campaign and the African American Healing Network. A Howard University graduate, she currently serves as a Quality Improvement Coordinator for Sacramento County Adult Correctional Health. Ranita is also the owner of Fun Friends Entertainment and the proud mother of a daughter.
